What Our Clients Say
42 five-star reviews across every market we serve
The team at HarborSide Yacht Services did an amazing job detailing my Beneteau at Shelter Island. They removed all the oxidation from the hull and the boat looks brand new. Very professional and reliable Definitely will be using them again.
Harborside did phenomenal work. Punctual, on task and didn't waste any time. Highly recommend to anyone in the San Diego area looking for boat detailing.
Moved to SD last year. I've been looking for the best boat detail in SD harbor, and HarborSide hit it out of the park!! HIGHLY recommend.
Why San Diego Boats Need Specialized Care
San Diego's coastal saltwater environment is uniquely demanding on vessels. Constant exposure to salt spray, marine air, and intense Southern California sun means boats need more frequent and more careful attention than freshwater fleets. Without regular boat washing San Diego owners depend on, salt residue accelerates oxidation, dulls gelcoat, and corrodes metal fittings.
Our team applies marine-grade products and finishing techniques designed specifically for coastal vessels, so your boat retains its showroom shine season after season. Whether your slip is in Mission Bay or your mooring is at Shelter Island, professional yacht cleaning San Diego owners can rely on protects your investment year-round.
What's Included in a Standard Wash
- Hull cleaning and topside hand-wash
- Hand dry-down to prevent water spots
- Non-skid deck rinse and treatment
- Window, glass, and stainless polishing
- Interior wipe-down on request
For deeper care, our full-detail service adds compound, polish, premium wax, and oxidation removal, typically scheduled twice per year for vessels stored on the water in San Diego marinas.
Recurring Cleaning San Diego Owners Trust
Most San Diego owners keep their boat on a recurring plan, a weekly, biweekly, or monthly hand-wash at the slip that keeps salt, marine growth, and bird mess from ever building up between full details. Recurring clients get a reserved spot on the schedule and preferred rates, and every visit ends with photo updates so you always know your boat is ready before you head out.

San Diego Boat Detailing FAQs
Which San Diego marinas do you service?
HarborSide covers all major San Diego boating areas: Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Mission Bay, Marina Village, Point Loma, Coronado (Glorietta Bay, Coronado Cays), and Oceanside. We also work at private home docks throughout these neighborhoods.
Do I need to be present when you detail my boat?
No. We coordinate marina or gate access in advance, complete the work at your slip, and send photo updates when we're done. Most clients are away during the visit.
How often should I have my boat detailed in San Diego?
It depends on use and storage. Boats kept covered with light use can go quarterly. Boats on open docks with regular use benefit from a recurring monthly wash plus a deeper detail every 3-6 months. We'll recommend a cadence after evaluating your vessel.
How quickly can you provide a quote?
Use the instant price tool on our contact page to see your exact price in seconds. For a tailored quote, we'll need your boat's length, marina location, and what level of service you're looking for. A quick call or text to (619) 780‑7647 is the fastest way to get started.
